WOOOOW! I love Anastasia retellings so much, I think they are one of my favourite retellings. I remember going to New York just to see Anastasia the musical for my birthday that's how invested I am in this story!

It was so interesting seeing the story being mingled with deep-rooted history, magic, and a spicy romance. It added a completely new spin which I hadn't read before.

I think the relationship between Anastasia and Damien was my favourite part of the story, along with the highly weaved and intense plot. The characterisation of both characters and the sparks that ignited off them off made me hooked!

This was a massive book and I flew through it, I think another beautiful aspect of this novel was the illustrations as well. They fit the story so well and painted a picture which I adored. I can't wait to get the paperback of this book!

I loved the family tales, the fact that we followed Anastasia from young - it was so well-built and written!
