Please be warned about the triggers before starting the book, this is dark and if it's not for you it's not for you. This a follow-on from Sicko which I really loved. Wicked was a character who intrigued me a lot and I was interested in seeing where his story took him.

I always adored Wicked's character and I loved his relationship with his sister in this novel. His story and plot throughout were really well-written and I enjoyed his character. I loved being able to see him with Royce again.

I think the stand out for me was Ruby. Initially, her character started off a little slow and I didn't really connect with her. But I think Ruby is one of the most cutthroat and badass female characters Amo has written. I loved being able to read her character.

Wicked and Ruby were an instant connection that got lost along the way and I loved reading them reignite their love for each other. I loved to see the development along the way and felt that the storyline was strong enough that the romance didn't overwhelm it. I'm excited to see if Amo writes any more books from this world!
