THE RIVALS BY VI KEELAND

For starters, this cover is so swoon worthy and gorgeous. The aesthetic is so on point and I would definitely choose this book if I were seeing it on the shelf. Also, as we all know an enemies to lovers story can never get old and I was excited to see where this head especially since it was titled 'The Rivals.'

Now for the book. This isn't the conventional enemies to lovers storyline and yet I still loved it a lot! It was more a lust to love in a way but I welcomed it. I loved their little rivalry and the tiffs that they would get into. Sophia and Weston knew how to push each others buttons, but they were so adorable together.

I loved the storyline, a family rivalry was very entertaining and I loved seeing the main characters having to work together! On the subject of working together, if you like heroines who are badass and strong - look no further then at Sophia. She was so strong and the type who took no shiz from anyone. It was so nice reading about an independent, strong business woman who knew what she was doing and how she was doing it.

Weston was so adorable I loved him, he was charming and arrogant on the front, but so warm and squishy on the inside. His story was so heartbreaking and the build up made me love him even more, his situation with his sister was different to anything I had read before.

Now onto their relationship. Goddamn was it spicy and heated. I LOVED IT. It's so different to what Keeland normally writes and I have no complaints. It was just the right amount and it definitely spit with the steaminess of this couple, coupled with their sexual tension too. Weston and Sophia were meant to be together from the beginning and I loved seeing their development and them finally accepting their feelings after lots of denial.

Can't recommend enough, was such a nice breezy read - I read all in one go and it was a welcome relief and something light and fun! The side characters were amazing as well! Definitely go check this out!
