COLE BY TIJAN

COLE BY TIJAN

I can't believe I haven't picked up Tijan's books sooner, I am currently falling down a hole into Tijan wonderland. I can't get enough of her books it began with Enemies (still one of my all time favourite reads of this year.) Then I read Kian, which was so different and such a good read with a heart-throbbing hero. Now onto her mafia books, beginning with Cole. I was a little silly and started with Cole when I should've started with Carter Reed (as he makes an appearance.) I'm going to swiftly pick up his book next and read it!

It began somewhere I didn't expect, we see Addison - our heroine - dealing with getting over the grief of her husband who died in a car accident over a year ago. Immediately, we are introduced to her best friend Sia who is an AMAZING side character - she was so hyper and bold, I adored reading about her. If she hadn't settled down in this book I would've loved to have gotten a book on her.

I was interested in seeing where this book would leave considering that Addison was still kind of grieving, we don't even get an interaction between her and Cole until 10% into this book I want to say. I found this completely fine to be honest, I loved the scene setting and the character setting before that and getting a lay of the land (being in Cole's hotel ;))

Cole and Addison was an insta-love, but it was a bit more subtle. They just had a connection straight away and it was clear to see, it wasn't uncomfortably quick. I actually found it so cute. Their relationship had a great build up and development and I loved the fact that Addison chose Cole.

The plot was really intriguing too I went from assuming Sia set up Addison to thinking other things and it was a whirlwind. In the end, I had always guessed who it was since they were super sus and weird from the start, but it was still a wtf moment.

Anyways, I loved this book and I can't wait to read more mafia books by Tijan. Now I need to go back and read Carter Reed!
